Jenefer du Lac has one goal to take back Creagor and become Laird from a stinking highlander. Pretty soon Jenefer worms her way into his heart and despite her being a prisoner she becomes much more. All of Morgan’s people love her and so does Morgan even though he tries not to fall for her. Of course their love is not a smooth road; there are complications from Morgan’s wife who is supposed to be dead and war from not only Jenefer’s family but the English could not only tear them apart but kill them in the end!What an amazing rollicking astounding historical story! The book is much more than a romance! It is action filled with adventure sweeping and epically told pulling us along in breathless anticipation! The author also just knows how to tell a wonderfully fantastic tale that captures from the very first page until the last filled with amazing characters that no one gets lost in the background from the tough handsome hero to the headstrong fearless heroine and the side characters every is so lifelike and amazingly real! Morgan is truly a great highlander. He’s seems cynical and crass because of his grief but actually has a heart of gold. His grief doesn’t rule him either he opens himself upon to everything including love what’s not to like about him. So of course he makes the perfect book boyfriend! Jenefer the feisty bullheaded heroine is just marvelous! Sure she might have a crazy agenda and it doesn’t work out in her favor but you can’t help but like her too. She might not be quiet and might scare you so is not one to hang out with on a gentle outing but is sure fun plus can defend herself, you or anyone that she cares about, one to have in your corner anyway. This book is one that is a joy to read and one well worth the time! It’s definitely a keeper!
