A darker story than normal from an author who writes dark romance so very well. This one was definitely as dark as the author indicated. It was also mesmerizing to read as the characters revealed themselves and story details were relayed with a stunning - ‘I cannot believe that just happened’ feeling. The cliffhanger was expected yet came at a time when I was totally invested in what was happening. I was left gritting my teeth and wanting to know what happened ‘now’! Not later. Yet it was also somewhat welcomed because this world is fascinating.I requested a copy of this book so I could provide an honest review.
